BALTIMORE – Baltimore athletic-wear maker Under Armour has signed the No. 1 NFL Draft pick Cam Ward to a sponsorship deal, the latest in a whirlwind of opportunity for the newly minted Tennessee Titans quarterback.

Quarterback Ward was the top overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He played for University of the Incarnate Word, Washington State, and University of Miami, where he was named a Heisman Trophy finalist. Ward is among five Under Armour gridders selected in the NFL Draft, which continues through tomorrow.

Besides Ward, Baltimore-based Under Armour has maintained an impressive roster of sponsored athletes including another Cam, Cam Newton; Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps; track star Natasha Hastings; Atlanta Falcons’ Julio Jones; US Womens Soccer player Kelley O’Hara; NFL star Tom Brady; Stephen Curry of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors and many others.

But the Under Armour deal isn’t the only clothing-related gift for Ward. At a post-NFL Draft press conference, Ward got a jersey with his beloved number 1, bestowed upon him by Hall of Fame QB Warren Moon. Moon wore number 1 for the Houston Oilers of the NFL.

More additions to the elite Under Armour roster include wide receiver Luther Burden III of University of Missouri, drafted by the Chicago Bears; Matthew Golden, wide receiver for the University of Texas drafted by the Green Bay Packers; Nick Emmanwori a safety from University of South Carolina, drafted by the Seattle Seahawks; and Tyler Booker, offensive lineman from University of Alabama, drafted by the Dallas Cowboys.
