Skiiers Can Enjoy a Snow-Filled Ski Season at Liberty Mountain and Whitetail Resort

Those living in the Mid-Atlantic area can either escape the cold for the holidays, or embrace it with some great local skiing.

Close to Baltimore and Washington, D.C., two of the more popular ski areas that are commuter friendly are Liberty Mountain and Whitetail Resort. The mountains are family friendly and offer a range of challenging terrain.

Liberty Mountain Resort

Located near the border of Maryland and Pennsylvania, Liberty Mountain offers a range of challenging runs. Located about an hour from Baltimore, the mountain boasts 100 acres of snowboard and skiing terrain for all levels of expertise.

Liberty celebrates its 60th anniversary this winter and has a range of offers and deals going on hotel, restaurant and entertainment events.

Whitetail Resort

Whitetail Resort is promoting its Sunday Nights Under the Lights where skiiers can get $49 lift tickets, $12 rentals (when purchased online), and see the entire mountain lit up from 3 pm to close.

In addition to skiing, there’s a true mountain town feel to Whitetail Resort with great restaurants, activities and fun on an off the slopes.
